Groove With A Mission

At Renee’s Groove Room, we’re more than just a fitness studio.  We believe physical health & wellness and social well-being can work together to create both personal and global change. That’s why a portion of every dollar you spend goes toward causes and organizations that are close to our hearts and yours.  And from time to time, we’ll ask you to participate in events that will inspire and raise money for these and other important organizations and people.

We are proud to support the following non-profit organizations and we invite you to learn more.  If you have a favorite cause or organization you’d like to support or an event you’d like to put on at the Groove Room, please contact Renee at 615.519.0429 to discuss opportunities to work together.

thCystic Fibrosis Foundation

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide), including our nephew, Joseph Lopez.  Since 1955, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been the driving force behind the pursuit of a cure. Thanks to the dedication and financial backing of our supporters — patients, families and friends, clinicians, researchers, volunteers, individual donors, corporations and staff, we are making a difference.

American-Cancer-Society-Logo1The American Cancer Society

For more than 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Together with millions of our supporters worldwide, we help people stay well, help people get well, find cures, and fight back against cancer.  Our family has lost a number of loved ones to cancer, so we want to fight the good fight whenever possible.

k9.5logo1k9.5 Rescue

k9.5, formerly Miss Alli’s Rescue, is a small rescue that originated in Middle Tennessee and relocated to the Greenville, South Carolina area. We are not a shelter with a facility, but instead our animals are in fostered with volunteers in their homes. k9.5 is dedicated to helping animals who have been neglected, abused, or abandoned, as well as those who have unfortunately found themselves in a shelter. Our focus is on Great Pyrenees, other giant breeds, seniors and special needs animals.  We have personally fostered a Great Pyrenees and k9.5 was instrumental in helping us to raise money for a life-saving surgery.
